Australia's all-format players might miss the T20I series against Pakistan in November 2024 to prepare for the high-profile Test series against India on home soil, ESPNCricinfo reported.

The Aussies are set to host Pakistan for six white-ball matches, three ODIs, and T20Is between 4 and 18 November.

The tour commences with a three-match ODI series on 4 November. The ODIs will be followed by three T20Is, scheduled between 14 and 18 November.

The proximity of the Pakistan T20Is to the Border-Gavaskar Trophy might lead to several multi-format players being excluded from Australia's squad, as the Test series starts on November  22.

The multi-format players will reportedly be given the best preparation facilities for the five-Test series, with the Sheffield Shield starting on 8 October.

Even if they are rested for the first round, they will have three First-Class matches to fine-tune themselves for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Therefore, players like Travis Head, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Marsh, and Josh Hazlewood, who play all formats for Australia, are likely to miss the T20I series against Pakistan.

Pakistan vs Australia ODI series schedule:
