World Championship of Legends: Birmingham weather update ahead of Pakistan vs India

Pakistan will take on the India match in the ongoing World Championship of Legends 2024 at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham today.

The cricket fever in Birmingham is reaching its peak as the arch-rivals are set to collide in what is going to be one of the best and most anticipated matches of the league as 23,000 spectators will be in the stadium to witness the encounter.

However, the game is expected to be interrupted by the rain. The toss is scheduled to start at 4:00pm local time with the match starting 4:30pm.

The World Championship of Legends, approved by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), began on July 4 and will continue till July 18.

The excitement for the match between Pakistan and India is not just among the fans as the Green Shirts’ skipper, Younis Khan, expressed his excitement to play against rivals.

"We are excited to play India in this esteemed tournament, our longtime competition. Our group has put in a lot of preparation and we are sure we can put on an amazing show. For us, it's about pride and passion for both the sport and our nation, it's not just a game," Younis said.

Similarly, India Champions’ star batter, Suresh Raina, also said that facing Pakistan has always been an honour.

"Playing Pakistan is always an honour and tomorrow's game is no exception. On the field our squad is fired up and prepared to give it our all. We hope that our performance will make the fans proud because of their amazing energy and support,” Raina said.

With both India and Pakistan being undefeated and in good form, it will be interesting to see the rivals taking on each other in what is going to be a spectacular contest.
