Pakistan Shaheens continued their excellent form in their Darwin tour and dominated Bangladesh A on day one of the second four-day match between the two sides.

The Tigers opted to bat first but the decision didn’t go in their favour as they ended up losing wickets early in the session and were soon 104/4 with some of their key players having departed for the pavilion.

Mahmudul Hasan Joy contributed a crucial 68 runs on 90 balls which helped them stabilise their innings but his valiant knock was ended by Kashif Ali.

After Hasan, Aich Mollah was another Bangladeshi batter who showed resistance in front of the strong Pakistani bowling attack by scoring 55 runs on 80 balls before becaming the victim of Kamran Ghulam.

Meanwhile, the likes of Shadman Islam Anik (4), Amite Hasan (7), Shahadat Hossain Dipu (1), and Hasan Murad (0), could not make any valuable contribution in terms of runs.

Mahidul Islam Bhuiyan Ankon was another contributor for Bangladesh as he posted 31 runs but lost his wicket to Khurram Shehzad.

Rejaur Rahman Raja (28 off 34) and Ripon Mondol (17 runs from 39) scored crucial runs down the order.

Shehzad bagged three, Ghulam, Kashif Ali, and Faisal Akram picked two wickets each.

Bangladesh A were all out on just 258 runs, as the Pakistani bowling managed to stop them from posting a big total on the scoreboard.

The Shaheens began their innings soon but they too had a disappointing start like the Tigers as they lost their opening pair earlier in the game.

The opening pair was sent back to the pavilion by Ripon Mondol. Haseebullah (18 off 46) and skipper Sahibzada Farhan (4 off 13) failed to score big runs.

The Shaheens concluded their day at 39/2, trailing by 219 runs, with Omair Bin Yousuf and Mohammad Ali at the crease.
